Who’s enjoying Springtime?

Me!

Despite enough rain falling to re-sink the Titanic, the blossom and flowers have been stunning this year, I’m sure you’ll agree, maybe the rain has been the reason, I’m sure it cannot harm.

As lovely as all has been, I’ve not photographed any of it, believe it or not. I’m not a lazy photographer, but I love the big vistas rather than the closeup and personal flower photography stuff.

Steve (my photography partner in crime) and I did plan to photograph Bluebells this weekend at Newton Woods, near Roseberry Topping in North Yorkshire. We are into May now and bluebell flowers are coming towards the end, they have turned from blue to Lilac, but still would be a sight worth photographing. Alas, more rain is forecast tomorrow and Sunday, that’s that plan up the swanny, again! We could go next week but will the bluebells hold on is the question.

These days I’m fine getting wet and most of my kit can take the odd soaking, but Steve and I mostly photograph to sell prints. Who wants to see dull and dark hanging on their wall? I know, dark and moody can be good but…

Anyway, who’s enjoying Spring?
